Magpie Monthly: Vol. 10

NEW! "RAINBOW ORDER" POSTCARD PACK

If you've known me for any amount of time, you're probably aware that I am a trinket goblin of the highest order (there's a reason my newsletter is called Magpie Monthly, after all). I'm so excited to share that I've turned some of my favorite trinket collections (lovingly arranged in rainbow order) into a postcard pack. This has been on my product design wish list for months and months, and it feels so good to finally make it happen. This set of postcards includes two each of four designs, with original photography by yours truly. Printed in the USA on premium 16pt stock with a satiny matte finish.

Five brand-new sticker sheets are here for all of your little treat needs, including my very first glitter stickers! I've got snackin' raccoons, the cutest watches ever, a tribute to an unsung household hero (the junk drawer, of course), lucky charms, and sparkly, soothing sand art.

All my stickers are waterproof, weatherproof, illustrated by me, and printed in the USA.

What I’m Reading

Here are two standout reads from October. Connect with me on Goodreads to see the rest.

Seduction Theory
Emily Adrian, 2025

Funny. Subtle. Brilliant.

A witty, masterful exploration of love, ambivalence and the complicated nature of being a human, with all of academia catching strays along the way. It seems most people either loved it or hated it. Seeing as I reread it right after I finished it, it's safe to say I fell into the "loved it" camp.

Discontent
Beatriz Serrano, 2023
Translated by Mara Faye Lethem, 2025

Bleak. Caustic. Absolutely Hilarious.
With wry wit and biting humor, Serrano skewers the inanity and tedious indignity of the modern-day office. I recommend this book to anyone who's ever worked an unsatisfying job (so...pretty much everyone).ally like being sad, you will love this book.
