I’ve been making repeating patterns since 2006, and creating them is one of the biggest and most reliable sources of pride and joy for me. Of course I enjoy following my bliss and creating patterns for the fun of it, but I also love crafting the perfect collection of prints for my clients. It’s thrilling to synthesize all of the trend research, project requirements, and conversations into a cohesive vision, and bring that vision into beautiful, trend-forward artwork. Floral + Botanical Patterns
When in doubt, flowers. The variety of styles and arrangements to explore is nearly endless, as is their appeal, which is why they are in-demand for every product category, in every season.
Patterns made with analog techniques
I love trying out new methods for creating textures that add a handmade and completely original touch to my designs. Some favorites are ink and brush, watercolor, acrylic paint, torn paper, tie dye and marbling.
Novelty Patterns
The easiest way to stand out from the crowd is to make use of novelty prints - in this category, just about anything goes! They are usually the most fun designs to dream up, leading to memorable, gotta-have-it products.
Abstract + Geometric Patterns
Far and away my favorite type of pattern to make, abstract patterns come in styles ranging from geometric to loose and organic. They’re extremely versatile, and can be put to use in all markets and products.
